However, I gave it to my kids and they suggested improvements.\u00a0 They wanted to like it, they tried to play with it, but the first question Nicole asked \u00a0was &#8220;Why doesn&#8217;t it work Daddy?&#8221;\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0 It was not that the software did not work, it was she did not understand how to make the game work without instruction.\u00a0 The good news is all is not wasted.<\/p>\n<p>For Example, I have learned important lessons.<\/p>\n<p>1) &#8220;Press Any Key To Continue&#8221; &#8211; Is not a concept that kids understand.\u00a0 Nicole asked &#8211; &#8220;Why does the ball not move when I touch it?&#8221;\u00a0 She was actually dragging the ball as I would have hoped, but had not pressed start before she actually started.<\/p>\n<p>2) Shapes and items that are greyed out have no meaning.\u00a0 &#8211; This apparently is a learned behavior from the modern UI.\u00a0 Since the kids\u00a0have not used\u00a0a modern OS, then &#8220;greying out&#8221; a button just frustrates her when she tries to interact with the shape.\u00a0\u00a0We need\u00a0to increase the intrinsic value\u00a0for a 2 year old.\u00a0 It needs to do something or be more meaning.<\/p>\n<p>Things that have passed as &#8220;good ideas&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>1) Bubbles that POP, and make noise or disappear<\/p>\n<p>2) Stars, Sounds, and other &#8220;rewards&#8221; that are given after the puzzle is solved.<\/p>\n<p>However, I am now at a good spot.\u00a0 I am going to use my stories and templates to continue to revise the requirements.\u00a0 Now I feel that I need 3 levels<\/p>\n<p>1) Popping bubbles.<\/p>\n<p>2) Solving a Puzzle (moving a Spoon to a Bowl)<\/p>\n<p>3) Creating a Puzzle from a Picture taken with the devices camera.\u00a0 Afterwards, the puzzle can be solved like the Bowl\/Spoon problem above.<\/p>\n<p>4) Shapes! &#8211; Use Shapes to create a image such as a house or a boat.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, I believe the I have defined my minimal product.\u00a0 Kid testing will determine if I am right.\u00a0 Oddly enough,\u00a0 It now seems that &#8220;Shapes&#8221; as part of the actual game, seem to a more advanced concept that I will have to work up to&#8230; at least for my Kids.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>I actually went back a reread my site today.\u00a0 It seems that my original requirements are still where I should be heading.\u00a0 My plans are to publish those first, then continue rounding out the offering with added content.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The QMS is progressing.\u00a0 All of the basic items are in place, but the details are slowly being filled in.\u00a0 What Now?
