I am currently using them little to not at all.<\/p>\n<p>2) Add the &#8220;alt&#8221; tags and proper descriptions<\/p>\n<p>3) Compare the google analytics keywords to\u00a0each blog post and adjust accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Initial_Site_Keywords.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-830 size-medium\" title=\"SEO - Search Engine Optimization\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Initial_Site_Keywords-162x300.png\" alt=\"Keywords for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for your blog\" width=\"162\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Initial_Site_Keywords-162x300.png 162w, http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Initial_Site_Keywords.png 287w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 162px) 100vw, 162px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Above are they keywords that for my blog prior to this post that I took from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\">Google webmasters<\/a>\u00a0after evaluating my blogs original posts.\u00a0\u00a0Since I wrote without Search Engine Optimization in mind, you can see the content keywords are a little skewed.\u00a0 I would have expected Android development, Google Play, Game Development, etc. to be higher on the list.\u00a0 So, my goal moving forward is to make my blog post hit higher with search engines.<\/p>\n<h2>Yoast SEO<\/h2>\n<p>Yoast SEO has a great &#8220;help center&#8221; at the end that integrated into WordPress.\u00a0 As such, I am able to get real time analysis while I write.\u00a0This means that this\u00a0post, and all future ones will be better optimized.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SEO-with-Yoast.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-887\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SEO-with-Yoast-211x300.png\" alt=\"SEO with Yoast\" width=\"211\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SEO-with-Yoast-211x300.png 211w, http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SEO-with-Yoast-106x150.png 106w, http:\/\/www.stonemillkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SEO-with-Yoast.png 420w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 211px) 100vw, 211px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are three main features that I use in Yoast:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I can edit a snippet of the page if my introductory paragraph or sentence is two long.\u00a0 This is used for the summary under the link in a Google, or other search engine.<\/li>\n<li>If you place the keyword you are targeting for the post, then the real-time feedback will be developed as the blog is written.<\/li>\n<li>As you write, each of the dots go from Red to Orange to Green as the post becomes more optimized.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The other tab in Yoast is for &#8220;Readability.&#8221;\u00a0 While it is useful for editing\u00a0as you write,\u00a0I do not\u00a0find it as informative as the &#8220;Keyword&#8221;
